Science Project 2010

For Casey's 5th grade Science Project, she found out that fruits and potatos can produce enough power to power a LCD light blub.  Thank goodness Luke was around to help her get started with this project.

I am also proud of Casey for going 3rd to show off her project at school.  She said all the kids said it was a cool project, so I know that made her proud.  Way to go Casey!

It's BRAG Time...

...well I should say that it's Report Card time, but we are so proud of the kids, I'm bragging instead.

Justin got ALL S's on his Report Card and I will type Casey's below.

Reading = 91
Math = 89
Writing = 91
Science = 93
Social Studies = 100
Art, Spanish, PE & Music = S

So far this year, Justin has received 3 Awards and I think Casey the same.

Christmas at school!

Casey's class had a Christmas party and exchanged gifts.  It was nice!  Here are a few pictures from the event.

Mrs. Doleski's 5th Grade classroom tree,she let the kid decorate it.

Casey opening a gift from a classmate.

Mrs. Doleski opening her gifts.  We got her a pack of printer paper, I know she needed it.  The school only provides a little bit, so I gave it out to 9 teachers.

Hatchet

The 5th grade class that Casey is in read/listened to this book together.
It was a good book.
Well after it was over, they had to do a project on a part of the book.

Casey did her project on the lean-to that Brian stayed in, while he was in the woods for 54 days.
*Don't forget to notice the hatchet he has in his hand!

Here is another view of the lean-to.
Notice his shirt laying there.  It was used to collect berries in.

SAT Awards

Casey with her new hair-do.... ...lots and lots and lots of very pretty curls.
Showing off her pretty self. Wow, she is looking a lot older then 10 here and I don't like it. We might have to lock her up soon...haha.
A VERY proud Csaey - wearing her SAT medal and holding the program. She got the ribbon from her seat.
Up-close picture of her medal, that she and us are VERY proud of.
We are so very proud of Casey for getting a SAT Award and she is very happy about it also.
Before we went to the Awards on Tuesday night, I went and took her to get her hair fixed.
Kids only get an SAT Award, if they make a 90 or above for the first three 9 weeks of school.
Oh yeah an SAT is an (Superintendent's Academic Team) Award, isn't that GREAT?

High School Field Trip

He got a free flower and made a 'beach in a bottle'. He was very happy about both and happy about planting his flower also.
Thank goodness, he had on headphones...haha.
Fun, fun, fun
Maybe oneday, he really will be in the ROTC.
Justin and Quinn petting Bonnie and Clyde
Petting and learning about chickens
Mom, he's got a heartbeat. (He really did to Justin, cause the girl was beating on the back of the wheelchair...haha)
Steven look, I can hear my own heartbeat.
'Brushing' a tooth.
Having fun playing with their 'Beach in a Bottle'
Making the beach-in-a-bottle.
Walking the halls of a high school, gotta start them early...haha.
Happy Bubba

The report of the Report Card

Casey got her Report Card of the first nine weeks of school and she is doing very well. I just had to brag a little. I know it is not nice to brag sometimes, but she has come a long way since the beginning of school this year.
