BOO!

On Friday night when we went to the Zoo for Trick or Treating, the Picture People was there taking pictures for FREE. Well today I went by and got our picture and I think it

turned out pretty good. ENJOY!!

Red Ribbon Week

Monday - No School

Tuesday - Sunglass Day

*Since Justin is our groofy boy, he got some big clown glasses from the Dollar Tree.

Wednesday - Hat Day *All of Justin's friends thought had a really cool hat. The hat that Casey has on is from the SPCA, because she donated some things to them.

*Justin came home on Wednesday wearing a new hat, that he made at school. Thursday - Red Ribbon Day *They got the 'Stay Drug Free' ribbon from school Friday - Wear Red Day *Sorry I forgot to take pictures of them in their red. *One week out of the school year, the kids have Red Ribbon Week at school. It is the week that they learn that drugs are BAD for them. They also learn how Red Ribbon Week came around.

Pumpkin Patch

Since the kids where out of school on Monday, I took them to a real pumpkin patch. It was fun, they learned about the history of the farm and more.

Kill Devil Hill - Wright Brothers Memorial, NC

On Monday I took the kids to see the Wright Brothers Memorial again. I figured it would be a good time to see it again, since Casey is reading about it in class.

They really enjoyed this part of the Memorial, as you can see.

THE Snake's Skin

I found a snake's skin under the burn barrel. when I cleaning it out on Sunday. I figured it would be a good thing to show the kids. I even ask Casey if she would like to take it to school and of course she did. It is good for the teachers to have things like that in class to share during sience. Casey said they she already had one, but no one could touch it. Casey was just happy to give the teacher a 'new' one.

At the Neighbor's

Luke went over to the neighbor's to help build their Florida Room and then they invited us over for dinner that night. Darrell told Justin that he should put up a swing in there and he did. He was wondering how long it would take for him to notice and it didn't take him no time.

The best seat in the house, is on the coffee table...haha.

The Mega Event happens once a year at school. It is something fun for the kids to do at the beginning of year.

Justin and his BF

Here is Justin and his BF (best friend) Steven. They are really good friends. This is the two at the Mega Event at school on Friday. They had to keep up with each other and go where the other one went.

They also get in trouble together in class. I guess from what I hear Steven is the Leader and Justin is the Follower.

"It was an accident"

This is what Bubba looked like after him and Casey got done wrestling. She said that she "didn't mean". Oh well, at least no one was crying....haha.

The books in Casey's right hand is the books that I brought for the classroom and the books in her left hand are the books I brought for her.

Out and About

On Saturday, we got out and about to see a few things in Natural Bridge VA. The neatest thing to see that day was the Natural Bridge. It is one of the Natural Wonders of the World.

Finally to the Campground

We spent the weekend in Natural Bridge Station VA at Jellystone Park in Cabin #20. It was a lot of fun, we meet Yogi, Boo Boo, Cindy and Ranger Smith. We hiked a trail, had a camp fire, went on a Haunted Hayride and just enjoyed our selves.

Virginia's Safari Park - Lexington VA

Our first stop was the Virginia Safari Park in Lexington VA. Justin would not feed the animals until near the end and then he fed the sweet shy deer. The animals where crazy over food. The animals also would run right alone the van while Luke was driving. *These pictures are not as good as the video I took....haha. We will try to make it into a DVD to send around to everyone.

Blue Ridge Parkway

This is what we seen on our drive out of town this weekend. We went to Lexington VA for a weekend away - our gift to Justin for his 5th birthday. I know it is not his birthday yet, but we thought Luke wont' be here for Justin's real birthday.

I can do it myself!

Once again, it was time for the boys to get a haircut and Justin just had to start his on his own. He likes helping with everything and sometimes, he will even help with Luke's haircut...haha.

Dismal Swamp Learning

On Saturday we went to one of the programs that the Dismal Swamp State Park offers. We learned about leaves and then went on a short hike. After the the hike, we went to the classroom for some leaf rubbing.

We all had fun and also learned something.
