Duck Blind

We went in the boat last weekend to the North River for Luke to skope out his old duck hunting spots. No, he did not build that duck blind, but he did hunt out of it once. Of course the kids had to check it out too. Duck hunting season opens on the 1st of Oct, so Luke is thinking about taking off work a couple days to go. He is so excited. I just hope that he gets more ducks this year, then he did last.

His first project

Here is Bubba working on his first project for school. He has a week to complete it, but he will be done before then. I let work on it whenever he wants for as long as he wants. He had to color, cut and paste pictures of the correct thing on the pages they gave him.
He is really liking school and really looking forward to a Field Trip. Casey got information about a Field Trip and he got upset, because he wanted to know when he will be going on a Field Trip...haha.

FOR SALE

Do you know anyone that wants to buy a house and live in NC or near VA? Soon (maybe this year) our house MIGHT be for sale. Yes, you have guessed it - it's almost time for Luke to call about his next duty station. It is right around the corner, but the corner can't come soon enough. Luke will be TRYING to find out on or about November 1st. At first we was wanting to stay here, because the housing market is bad, but now we are ready to move on. I guess it is just in our system, that after 2 years we are ready to start something new soon. Poor Casey is the only one that does not want to move. She knows that we have to move at least one more time, before Luke retires, but she don't want to. I know she will miss her friends, school and teachers, but she will also make new ones. We tell her how exciting it to move and see new things. Don't worry, we will keep yall posted on everything - so you don't have to keep asking.

Happy 35th Birthday Luke

Tuesday will be Luke's 35th birthday, but since he will not be home, we celabrated it a bit early.

We went out to eat at a place in our town, that we hadn't been before and it was really good. After that, the kids and I surprised Luke with an ice cream cake.

First Day of School Ever!

Well our baby boy started school on Wedenesday. He is going to same school that Casey attends and at the same time.
He started his first day of school 2 hours late, because of a weather delay. So he didn't even get to have a full first day of school. I think that was a good, so he could get use to it.
He did not want me to leave. He kept looking at everything and I thought he was okay wtih it, but he had a tear in his eye. It about made me cry. The teacher took him, so I could walk out and he was fine after that. When I came back to get him, he was okay and not in any hurry to get out of there. His favorite thing to do, was play in the gym with all the balls. I am glad that he was happy. He is just ready for a Field Trip.
