Happy New Year

Holly, Renee and Darrell
(the greatest neighbors - from across the street)
Happy 2009! We didn't do anything big here at the house. We had two sets of neighbors over, but they all left before midnight. Only Luke, myself and Mom stayed up until midnight. It was hard on everyone, because they had to work yesterday and some tomorrow.

Today's Update

Well as of today, we are going to Hawaii, but things could change at ANYTIME. Luke told me to not get so excited, but it is hard not to. He got an email saying that he got the orders to Hawaii, but until it is on paper, it could change. Please pray for us that it does not change. We do WANT to go to Hawaii. Welcome to Hawaii! Pictures, Images and Photos Also Luke is testing for Chief (E-7) in January, so if he makes Chief, they might not need him in Hawaii. Yes, we do also want Luke to make Chief, it would help his carerr.

I just to let yall know that we really love getting Christmas cards in the mail. I had to take them down today, because Dad and Luke are working inside the house. We recieved 23 Christmas cards this year so far. Here, I will list the different states we get them from. Alaska x2 South Dakota Vermont New York Wyoming Georgia North Carolina x3 Oklahoma California Florida x2 Minnesota x2 Montana Ohio x2 Texas Michigan Maryland I love that we know people all over. Sometimes we recieve one from England too. If you didn't receive a card from us, that is because we ran out of them. I will try to send out another card before we move to give you our new mailing address. Renee
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0rOrcuxMIUE You have to check out this video. My Dad found his self in this video from Goggle Earth, when he was looking at Vietnam. He is on the third picture past the title page. If you get ready you can click Pause and you can see him better. He is on the back of a truck, on the left hand side. That is so Awesome, that he found this video. We emailed the person who made the video to see if Dad knows him. Enjoy!

Pay Attention!

I am always telling Casey to pay attention, when she is doing her homework. Well on Thursday morning, she learned a very valueable lesson from me, because I wasn't paying attention. I hit my parents van, while backing out of the driveway in our van.
The close-up dent in our van. Our van's dent from afar.
My parent's van dent.
My parent's van dent from afar.
They don't look that bad in the pictures, but they are noticable. I will NEVER live this down. I think it comes up a few times a day.

Orders Update

Well Luke called the Detailer (the person that gives us orders to a new duty station) yesterday and they said that he could not stay at this duty station any longer - it's KINDA a bummer. We are just scared that our house will not sell. Well Luke went ahead and has requested orders to ........................................ oh yes, Hawaii. We are not sure IF we are going there yet or not, but we will find out January 5th. PLEASE cross your fingers for us. They did not give Luke much of a chose, well actually his only chose was a ship or a ship. Luke has never been to ship and he does not want to go to one now. For those that does not now yet, this next duty station will be our last. Luke be retiring in 2013, it sounds far away, but it not for us. IF he does not get the orders to HI, please cross your fingers for us that he gets other orders besides a ship. IF Luke is on a ship, he will more than likely be gone more than he will be at home. Yes, I am VERY grateful that he has not had to do it yet and so praying that he does not have to do it. As soon as we know anything, we will be letting yall know. As of right now, we will not know anything until Jan. 5th and that day cannot come fast enough. Good Luck to Us!

It's Party Time Again!

It's that time of year again for parties, more volunteering, baking, cooking, shopping, traveling, cleaning and so much more. Am I the only one doing all that?
These are pictures from the Command Christmas Party. We didn't win big this year, but no has forgotten that we won big time last year. *Remember we won the grand prize last year - a flat screen TV. The grand prize this year was a GPS. I am just glad that someone that didn't have one won it. Luke said he could have used another one, but not enough to buy another one.
Enjoy!!!

The gift we received from the gift exchange. It was a homemade wreath from one of the wives.

He's Home!

Well as some of you know, Luke was gone for three weeks and now he is back. This is what it looked like, when he first got back.

He had some very happy kids and dogs...haha.

*I didn't tell the kids he was coming home on Saturday. When he got close to the house, he called me, so we could surprise the kids. He walked in real soft and slow and got right behind the kids. They didn't see him, but I did and then he said something and they started SCREAMING and crying (with joy).

Grown-up @ age 5

Poor little Bubba is sick today, but he is handling it so well. He got up out of bed at 4am and went to the bathroom to throw-up and then came to tell me. He was carrying the bathroom trash can - wow, I was amazed! He ask to sleep with me, so of course I let him - so I could keep an eye on him. He is doing better, so as of right now I am not taking him to the Dr. He doesn't want to eat anything, but he is drinking his gatorade good. I have gotten him to take a few bites of applesauce.

Brownie Points

Minnesota Vikings Florida Gators Ohio Buckeyes
Go Vikings! Go Gators! Go Buckeyes!
*Justin has team shirts from Florida, Minnesota and Ohio and he gets some brownie points some places he goes with a certain shirt on....haha.
When he wears his Minnesota Vikings shirt, he gets brownie points from his teacher. She is from Minneosta and her Dad still lives there. The brownie points don't mean anything, I just think it is funny...haha.
When he goes to the Dr., he gets brownie points from the Nurse - if he is wearing his Florida Gators shirt. Instead of just giving him one sticker, she gives him a whole sheet of stickers.
We haven't meet anyone yet, that is an Ohio Buckeyes fan - but I am sure we will.
If Justin doesn't have a shirt from your state, if you want to send him one you can... :)

Happy Thanksgiving

Title: Tile Cutter

Cutting tile with the Tile Cutter The completed bathroom floor.
How do you like the step Dad made coming out of the tub?
I told Dad since I got to cut some tiles that I could put Tile Cutter on my Resume now...haha. He said that I needed to cut about a thousand more, before I did that.
I only used the Wet Saw once and the Tile Cutter a few times. I actually didn't do to much to help Dad, unless he needed my help.

Lazy Dog Walkers

Here we are walking the dogs with the golf cart. It was a good work-out for the dogs, but not us, but we had fun. We did also walk the dogs ourselves.

Toilet or Toy?

The start of the breaking of the toilet Maybe if I throw rocks at it, maybe that will make it break???
Well if the other two things didn't work, maybe the pitch fork will???
Oh yeah, knocking it over worked.
*Dad let Justin break apart the old toilet and he had hours of fun. He got the tank broken apart, but not the bowl. Well we haven't hauled off the old toilet yet, so maybe he can keep working at it until he gets the bowl broken.
